Kids Summer Lunch Program
The Gethsemane Summer Lunch Program began when our Hands Together Ministry recognized a need in our community and stepped forward to help. Each summer, volunteers provide FREE bag lunches for all children ages 18 and under at Breeds Park, Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM–12:00 PM.
More than just a meal, the Summer Lunch Program is an opportunity to build relationships, share kindness, and ensure every child has access to a nutritious lunch during the summer months. This ministry is made possible through the generosity of volunteers and donors who give their time, talents, and resources to serve our community.
Whether you'd like to volunteer, donate supplies, or simply spread the word, we'd love for you to be part of this meaningful ministry!

VBS
This year, we're bringing VBS to where the kids already are! Instead of meeting at church, Vacation Bible School will take place at Breeds Park immediately following the Kids Summer Lunch Program.
Join us as we plant seeds of faith through Bible stories, music, games, crafts, and hands-on activities in a fun, welcoming environment. Whether your child comes for lunch, VBS, or both, everyone is welcome!

GLC Family Camp
Join us for one of Gethsemane's favorite traditions! Family Camp is a week of faith, fellowship, fun, and making memories together. Whether you come for the whole week or just a day, you'll enjoy worship, delicious meals, campfires, games, outdoor activities, and plenty of time to relax and connect with your church family. All ages are welcome, and there's something for everyone. Bring your family, invite your friends, and experience the joy of growing together in God's creation!
Cost: $20 per cabin, per night and $10 for a day for three delicious meals. We hope you'll join us!

2027 National Youth Gathering
2024
The 2027 ELCA Youth Gathering is coming to Minneapolis, Minnesota, June 28–July 2, 2027, and we want YOU to be part of this unforgettable experience! Every three years, thousands of Lutheran high school students and adult leaders from across the country gather for a week of inspiring worship, meaningful service, engaging speakers, experiential learning, and lifelong friendships. The 2027 theme, "Imagine More," reminds us that God's power is at work within us, calling us to grow in faith, serve others, and discover that we are part of something much bigger than ourselves.
Registration opens October 21, 2026.

Who Can Attend?
Students entering 8th–12th grade in the fall of 2026 are eligible to attend the 2027 ELCA Youth Gathering with Gethsemane Lutheran Church. Adult leaders accompanying the group must be 21 years of age or older by the time of the Gathering.
Whether this is your first Youth Gathering or you've attended before, this is an incredible opportunity to deepen your faith, make lifelong friendships, serve alongside thousands of other Lutheran youth, and experience the wider ELCA community in a powerful way.
